California Electric Design was founded in 2015 and immediately went to work establishing itself in the industry. Our team has a vast experience with a list of projects that encompasses educational, financial, healthcare, hospitality, housing, laboratory, low rise and high rise offices, recreational, retail, restaurants, and theatrical facilities located throughout California. We pride ourselves on our ability to meet the needs of our clients by developing cost-effective and  constructable designs in a timely matter.

Stephen Shaffer, PE

President, Principal Engineer

Stephen has over eight years of electrical engineering experience for a variety of different projects. Stephen earned his bachelors degree in electrical engineering from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and is a registered professional electrical engineer in the state of California.

You can usually find Stephen watching Game of Thrones, playing basketball, or spending time with his wife.

Electrical Engineer

Kevin has multiple years of experience in multiple different roles within the world of electrical design as a testing engineer, sales engineer, and design engineer. Kevin earned his degree in Electrical Engineering from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.

CAD Drafter

Mark is new to the engineering industry, starting as a drafter at California Electric Design as a drafter over a year ago. Mark’s day to day responsibilities include drafting construction documents, preparing specs, and updating standard details.
